Hedge or Shield of Protection
This prayer should be prayed for our spiritual maintainance, along with frequent confession and reception of the Eucharist. Remember that you must also strive to maintain an upright lifestyle. Serious din pulls down this protection.
Trusting in the promise that whatever we ask the Father in Jesus’ name He will do, I now ask You Father with confidence with the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God and with all the saints and angels of heaven, to protect me and keep me from the harassment of the devil and his minions.
Father I ask that You build a hedge (shield) of protection around me (and my family, investments, possessions), like that which surrounded Job, and to help me maintain it strong, so that the devil and his minions may have no access or means of breaching it except by Your expressed will.
Father, I know that I am powerless against the spiritual forces of evil, but by the Blood of Jesus, and I recognize my utter dependence on You and Your power. I humbly ask that you look with mercy upon me. Do not look upon my sins, but rather, look at the sufferings of your Beloved Son and see the Victim whose bitter passion and death has reconciled us to You. By the victory of His cross, protect me from all evil and rebuke any evil spirits who wish to attack, influence, or breach Your hedge of protection in any way. I ask you Father to fortify Your Hedge for my protection by the blood of Your Son, Jesus. Send your Holy Angels to watch over me and protect me and ask the Blessed Virgin Mary to cover me with her mantel of protection. Father, all of these things I ask in the most holy name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you, Father, for always hearing my prayer. I love You, I worship You, I thank You and I trust in You. AMEN.
