Five family members were found guilty of Manslaughter due to the death of Janet Moses a 22 year old woman in New Zealand. Moses was said to have become 'possessed' by demons after the theft of a statue from a pub. Her family reported that soon after the incident she began to act and speak strangely and her eyes appeared as if there were 'jelly fish' inside them. The family tried to treat Moses on there own and tried to flush the demons out with water down her throat and in her eyes. The result was the death of Moses by drowning.
